Chevrolet Cruze – The new generation is delayed!

The successful Chevrolet Cruze car was originally supposed to see a new generation already next year. However, according to the latest news, the launch of the new product is being delayed for at least a year. We found out the reasons for you.

The Chevrolet Cruze saw the light of day in 2008 and since then it has sold almost 2 million units . It is therefore an indisputable success for the car company. The first presented and at the same time the best-selling version is the sedan version, followed by the hatchback in 2010 and the station wagon version at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. So customers have a lot to choose from.

The new generation was originally planned for 2014 , but according to the latest news, the start of production of the car has been postponed until December 2015 . Why? Chevrolet is aware of the importance of this model and wants to be sure that the new generation builds on the success of the current one. However, the brand was frightened by the failure of the Malibu model, which had to be extensively redesigned after less than a year of production. They want to avoid this in the case of the Cruze, so they moved the start of the car's production. In the meantime, they will focus on increasing the quality of the car , increasing the space for passengers and luggage, improving driving characteristics and economy, and last but not least, the designers will try to design an attractive appearance.

The current Chevrolet Cruze will therefore be available on the markets until 2015, during which the successor will be introduced. It should reportedly offer sedan, hatchback and coupe body versions . There is no talk of a successor to the current station wagon yet.
