Cadillac has slightly modernized the large SUV Escalade

After half a year, Cadillac presented the first light modernization of the large Escalade SUV . In addition to the top Platinum version , it also comes with a new transmission and improved on-board electronics.

The new top-of-the- line Escalade Platinum can be recognized from the outside by more chrome, a new grille design and huge 22-inch wheels . Inside, the first and second row seats are upholstered in Nappa leather , while the upper door panels, instrument panel and center panel are upholstered in hand-stitched leather. The customer will be able to choose from two colors of the interior , always combined with wooden decor.

The equipment was not forgotten either – Escalade Platinum will offer ventilated and heated front seats that are adjustable in eighteen directions and the driver's is also equipped with a massage function, two seven-inch LCD screens for the rear passengers, built into the headrests of the front seats, supplemented by a nine-inch LCD screen in the ceiling and a refrigerated box at the back , located in the central tunnel. Unique carpets and door sills with the Platinum logo must not be missing. The price starts at 90,270 dollars (approx. 1.88 million crowns).

All Escalades get the automaker's new logo , which has already appeared on the ATS and CTS sedans (and coupes). However, the biggest innovation is certainly the use of an eight-speed automatic in combination with all engines, which is also complemented by a new two-speed reduction gearbox for models with all-wheel drive. In addition to the electric opening of the fifth door, its electric closing will also become standard. On board we find the OnStar system with 4G LTE connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot, respectively a wireless charging station. The range of electronic assistants is expanded by the Surround View system, which monitors the area around the car. Thanks to the new accessories, the basic price has increased by 1,275 dollars (approx. 26,500 crowns) and thus starts at 73,965 dollars (approx. 1.54 million crowns).
