Cadillac Escalade – The unveiling of the new generation begins

The arrival of the new generation of the large luxury SUV Cadillac Escalade is fast approaching, and the automaker is preparing us for the car's introduction by revealing the first teaser , which shows the front headlight.

The Cadillac Escalade in its current third generation (photo in the gallery) was introduced back in 2006 as a 2007 model year, so it is high time for the fourth generation to arrive. The automaker is keeping most of the important information to itself for now, but it has released the first teaser , which you can find in the gallery.

In terms of looks, the new Escalade is expected to take inspiration from the ATS and CTS sedans, which represent a modern interpretation of Cadillac 's Art&Science design language. Compared to the current Escalade , the new product will be more of an evolutionary change in appearance.

The similarly modified Escalade borrows the chassis platform from the large Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. Under the hood, a new gasoline V8 EcoTec3 with a volume of 6.2 liters and an expected power of 420 horsepower and a torque of 610Nm will probably appear.

The official unveiling of the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade will take place on Monday, October 7, 2013 at a special brand event in New York City at 7:00 p.m. local time. Sales of the car should begin in the spring of 2014.
