Cadillac slightly modernized the CTS sedan

The new form of the Cadillac logo is further expanding the portfolio of the American automaker. After the recently modernized sedan ATS and the coupe derived from it, it was also received by the upper mid-class sedan CTS , which received a light modernization along with it.

You can (not) recognize it at first glance by the redesigned radiator grille with active slats for all versions except the sporty Vsport, which is pure chrome in the cheaper versions, and in black chrome in the Vsport version. Projector-beam halogen lights and 17-inch wheels become standard, but high-beam lights and Adaptive Forward Lighting, as well as 18- or 19-inch wheels, are optional extras. The color palette was expanded to include the metallic shades of Crystal White Tricoat and Dark Adriatic Blue.

The interior received a Cadillac DockSpot smartphone charging station , notification of incoming SMS for the Cadillac CUE system , Internet connection via 4G LTE network or Wi-Fi, and new upholstery and decor colors . Driving assistants include a lane departure warning and a blind spot monitor.

The engine range starts with a two-liter four-cylinder with a turbo with an output of 276 hp with a torque of 400 Nm, the second choice is a 3.6-liter six-cylinder with an output of 325 hp with a torque of 373 Nm. The top of the engine range is a 3.6-liter six-cylinder with a pair of turbochargers in the Vsport version with an output of 426 hp and a torque of 583 Nm. All these engines are newly available with a modern eight-speed automatic , shifting in 0.3 seconds, which replaces the already rather outdated six-speed automatic. It is also important to mention that the two weaker engines are available with rear or all-wheel drive, the top model is only available as rear-wheel drive. The CTS Vsport also offers a sports suspension, Brembo brakes or an electronic limited-slip differential.
