Buick introduced its first convertible in 25 years

An incredible 25 years have passed since the last open Buick . However, the Cascada will be more familiar to Europeans than Americans, as it is technically and practically an Opel of the same name with a Buick logo.

All the design elements that Opel introduced back in 2013 have been retained, but connoisseurs will certainly notice the orange blinkers in the front bumper and the standard 20-inch wheels . The canvas roof folds into the 380 liter luggage compartment (100 liters less with the roof down) in 17 seconds and the operation can be carried out up to 50 km/h. Even the interior of the convertible with a 2+2 seating configuration has not undergone significant changes. The central panel is dominated by a seven-inch display of the IntelliLink multimedia system with a built-in Internet connection via the 4G LTE or Wi-Fi network. Comfort equipment is represented by heated headrests, front seats with electric forward movement for access to the rear seats or a rear parking camera, safety is in charge of roll-out protective arches , a rain sensor and a system that monitors departure from the selected lane.

Under the hood, there will be a turbocharged 16-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 203 hp and a torque of 280 Nm (the overboost function will increase it to 300 Nm for a short time) in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels. At the front we find the HiPer Strut axle, at the back for a change the Watts Z-link type axle. Sales will start early next year, prices will be published later this year.
