Buick unveiled the new Envision model in all its glory

We already wrote about the Buick Envision , which will be placed between the Encore and Enclave models, at the end of July, when the American automaker released the first photo. At the current auto show in Chengdu, China , we can finally see the new crossover from all sides, including technical data.

The design pays tribute to the current style of the car company , when it received a distinctive chrome radiator grille with vertical slats that close at higher speeds and thus improve aerodynamics, xenon headlights and, of course, LEDs for daytime running lights. In the rear part, a striking chrome strip connecting the reflectors with LEDs catches the eye. The wheels measure 19 inches, which Buick says is the largest in the class, and can be combined with five body paints .

The interior has a luxurious feel, with wood paneling , metallic accents and ubiquitous leather upholstery . The latest generation of multimedia systems is represented by Intellilink with an eight-inch touch screen. A Bose audio system with Active Noise Cancellation technology ensures a great music experience, which means active noise suppression. Air-conditioned and heated front seats, a panoramic roof or an electrically opening trunk lid in a total of three levels cannot be missing. And speaking of the trunk, you can store up to 1,550 liters in it after the seats are folded down , and there is still room for another 24 storage areas.

Buick with a length of 4667 mm , width of 1839 mm, height of 1696 mm and a wheelbase of 2750 mm is powered by a turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder with an output of 260 hp and a torque of 353 Nm. All-wheel drive (torque distribution from 0:100 to 100:0) in combination with a six-speed DSS automatic allows acceleration in 8.4 seconds with a consumption of 8.8 l/100 km. Active safety is ensured by a body made of 75% high-strength steel and 13% ultra-high-strength steel, which can be found on the A and B pillars, the roof or the driver's floor. Electronic assistants include adaptive cruise control, monitoring of driving in the correct lane, pre-collision system, monitoring of the space behind the vehicle, stabilization, traction control or hill start assistant.
