Bugatti Typo 57 Aerolithe – One of a kind

From time to time, while browsing the Internet, we come across something older that is worth mentioning. This time we share with you a video with the Bugatti Aerolithe . First presented at the Paris Auto Show in 1935, this concept was a forerunner of the more famous Atlantic type, which is still hailed as one of the most beautiful cars in the world. However, no one knows what happened to this amazing creation of Jean Bugatti . The fact that the body was made of magnesium alloy suggests that we will probably not see the car. Working with this material was said to be a nightmare for everyone involved. And so this replica was created recently, which uses original period parts, such as the engine , axles, gearbox and chassis frame. It comes from the oldest known Typo 57 car with code 57104. The construction is by David Grainger , owner of the Guild of Automotive Restorers restoration workshop in Ontario, Canada . And we bring you two great videos about this car.
