BMW, M5, Goodwood, tests, reviews

Thirty years , that's a solid reason to celebrate. And when it also celebrates such a great car as the BMW M5 , it is not surprising that we will also see a special edition.

The first model based on the E28 was presented at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show . And it was a sample "sleeper". Sports shock absorbers, better brakes, 3.5 L six-cylinder with 210 kW, but only minimal modifications to the appearance. The maximum speed was 245 km/h, but the car reached 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. In total , BMW produced over a thousand cars of the first generation.

The second generation E34 was called a supersport in a sedan body, the third E39 gained probably the most popularity among customers and the fourth E60 brought a breakthrough design. Unsurprisingly, the current model will celebrate its birthday properly and a special edition will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed .
