BMW 4 Coupé (F32) – 3 Series Coupe Concept Revealed!

The Munich automaker announced a long time ago that it plans to create a new model series called the 4-Series . Basically, it will only be a coupe body with two or four doors and a cabriolet, which will be derived from the current "three" series. The premiere is announced at the Detroit Auto Show , unfortunately in today's world of the Internet and the spread of information, BMW couldn't keep it a secret until January of next year.

Initially, the first pictures of the concept appeared on the web portals, but then BMW made it clear that there was nothing to hide anymore and revealed the official photos along with the information. The new BMW 4 (F32) measures 4641 mm in length, 1826 mm in width and 1362 mm in height. This means it is 29mm longer, 44mm wider and 16mm lower compared to the current 3-Series Coupé . The wheelbase is 2810 mm, i.e. a 50 mm increase compared to the predecessor.

Even the new model of the German automaker boasts a long hood, minimal overhangs and a long wheelbase. The front part of the car is of course based on the classic "three-door" F30 sedan and has round hexagonal LED headlights, between which there are typical "kidneys". The main change is mainly the larger air outlets in the bumper and overall the car looks sportier and more elegant. The new BMW is also given a sporty touch by the 20-inch cast multi-spoke wheels.

At the back we find the lights in the form of the letter L (similar to the 6 Gran Coupé ), which is also traditional for the Munich models. The rear is the widest on the entire car, which emphasizes its aggressive stance. The concept has a very special rear bumper where the large exhaust tips are on the sides and dominate the entire rear. Now it's just a question of whether this design element will make it into serial production.

The interior is said to be ready for production, as it is directly taken from the BMW 3 Series in sedan and estate (Touring) bodywork. On the two-door coupe, the front doors will be longer than on the sedan, reaching up to the B-pillar. Unfortunately, the BMW car company did not publish the engines, we can wait for them at the world premiere in Detroit or the European debut (perhaps in Frankfurt). The powerful M4 should have a turbocharged six-cylinder, possibly the one that will also be in the new generation M3 (F80 ).
