Barracuda is making a comeback in 2015

The head of the American car company Dodge , Ralph Gilles, announced at the 2010 SEMA auto show that he was going to resume production of the famous Musle car called the Barracuda.

The new SRT Barracuda has now officially reached the desks of engineers, and so its new generation should come to the market in 2015, replacing the Challenger model at the same time. However, do not expect much similarity with the model from the 70s of the last century. The future Barracuda will be a full 8 centimeters shorter and 160 kilos heavier than its Challenger sibling, because the chassis platform is too big for such a sporty model as the Barracuda undoubtedly is. The size of the car will be equal to the Ford Mustang .

As usual, the new Barracuda will be powered by a powerful engine, for now the 2.4-liter "Tigershark" or the 3.6-liter Pentastar are being considered. The car will retain the classic concept where the engine is in the front and the rear wheels are driven.

Let's hope that the development of Barracuda will be fully successful and that it will regain its rock fans, as it was in the 70s of the last century.
