At the beginning of this week, the technical director of the Audi car company talked about the plans with the biggest representative of the brand, which should be the Q8 model. According to him, it looks very promising and apparently the new Audi Q8 will really start production! If that happens, the Q8 will be a strong contender for the Range Rover Sport , for example. According to Wolfgang Dürheimer, the Audi Q8 will have very sporty shapes and more than rich luxury equipment.
The car will receive the MLB chassis platform, which will also be received by future generations of Audi Q7 or Porsche Cayenne . However, the Audi Q8 will be a few centimeters longer and taller than the Q7. The car will thus become the top model of the brand. As already indicated, the upcoming Q8 will be an alternative to the Audi A8 luxury limousine and will not lag behind it in any way. To all this, it adds excellent driving characteristics, even on unpaved roads.
According to the initial assumptions, the Audi Q8 was supposed to go into production only at the beginning of 2017. Recently, when the competition is getting stronger, the car company hastened it and we could expect a serial version as early as 2015.
