Audi presented the interior of the new generation TT at CES 2014

At the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), which takes place in Las Vegas (USA), the Audi brand presented the interior of the new compact sports car Audi TT , which will be launched this year.

In the course of this year, the third generation of the compact sports car Audi TT , whose interior could already be admired by visitors to the CES trade fair in Las Vegas, will come to the market. For the first time in a series-produced Audi car, the Audi virtual cockpit appears, a fully digital instrument cluster that displays all information in brilliant graphics on a 12.3" TFT display directly in front of the driver. The driver has a choice of two modes – the classic circular instruments or the "Infotainment" mode, in which information from other functions, such as the navigation system, comes to the fore. The central MMI monitor is thus useless. Thanks to this, the designers were able to design an instrument panel whose slim shapes visually express the philosophy of lightweight construction of the Audi brand.

The model of the interior of the new Audi TT on display also showed the innovative control concept. The new multifunction steering wheel has a flattened rim at the bottom and almost all functions can be controlled via the control elements on its arms. The menu structure mimics that of smartphones , and the MMI text search function is also available. Also completely new is the MMI terminal on the center tunnel console, complete with a second control unit next to the steering wheel. Using the MMI touch , the driver can scroll through lists or change the map scale. Only two instead of the previous four buttons surround the rotary button.
