Audi A4 2014 – the cylinder deactivation system will also come with the upgrade

The current generation Audi A4 was presented in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Looking at history, this is already the eighth generation , if we also count the four generations of the Audi 80 in the list . Yesterday, information appeared that in 2014 the current generation will undergo another modernization , which will bring a lot of news.

According to the German source Auto Motor und Sport , the updated Audi A4 will have less weight and a more dynamic appearance with a more prominent grille, extended wheel arches and sharper contours. The sedan will perhaps boast larger taillights and a more prominent spoiler on the lid. After the facelift, the interior will feature a head-up display and the MMI Touch information system, which we know from the A8 model , for example.

The engines have not been revealed yet, but there is speculation about the 1.4 TSI (122 and 180 hp), which will achieve better consumption by about 0.5 l/100 km using the newly supplied cylinder deactivation system . There will also be a plug-in hybrid system , which will include a 2.0 TFSI (211 hp) and a 95 hp electric motor . The date of the premiere is not yet known.
