Audi A1 Quattro in ABT modification

Audi A1 Quattro – an edition of only 333 units was officially presented at the end of last December and immediately became a wet dream for lovers of sharp hatchbacks. However, the original 188 kW and 350 Nm came as an insult to the ABT tuner and he decided to re-educate the little quattro a bit.

As you can see from the photos, nothing has changed in the design except for the contrasting foils. The target of interest was only the turbocharged two-liter petrol, which, through an unknown intervention, gained an additional 38 kW of power and increased torque (+50 Nm). To have over 300 horsepower in a hatchback of the approximate weight and four-wheel drive through a Haldex inter-axle clutch requires really good driving skills. Especially when the modification shortened the acceleration time from 0-100 km/h to 5.4 seconds (-0.3) and it is no problem to reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

At the time of the launch of the A1 Quattro , Audi declared an average fuel consumption of 8.5 l/100 km. ABT claims that its modification did not increase consumption and even the production of CO 2 emissions was maintained. Personally, however, I am not one of those people who would be interested in these values for a sharp hatchback. I'm more concerned about the cost of the modification. The A1 Quattro itself is not cheap at 1.2 million, let alone with the original performance kit from ABT .
