After the Zafira Tourer MPV , the Opel Astra will also get the new 1.6 CDTI diesel unit . In addition, the popular compact will be available in two performance versions and, according to paper data, it offers incredibly low consumption.
A weaker version of the four-cylinder diesel has a power of 110 hp and a torque of 300 Nm. In conjunction with a six-speed manual, it allows all available body variants (5-door hatchback, station wagon) to accelerate to 100 km/h in 12.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 186 km/h. Consumption has dropped to 3.7 l/100 km , CO2 emissions are less than 100 g/km. The base price for the hatchback in the Czech Republic was set at a promotional 389,900 CZK , the station wagon costs at least 414,900 CZK .
A more powerful version of the same engine has 136 horses and 320 Nm of torque. Like the weaker version, it is available with a six-speed manual, but unlike it, this version can also be found under the hood of the sedan. Consumption is 3.9 l/100 km , which is not bad at all when accelerating to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds (sedan 10.1 s) and a maximum speed of 200 km/h (sedan 205 km/h). The promotional price for the hatchback is 422,900 CZK , the station wagon will cost 447,900 CZK and the sedan will cost 434,900 CZK .
