Another batch of information about the new Dacia Duster

We already reported on the Dacia Duster facelift at the end of August. The day before the official start of the Frankfurt Motor Show , the Romanian car company came up with another batch of information, which primarily confirms the use of a turbocharged 1.2 TCe engine .

The four-cylinder with a turbocharger can also be found in other models of the brand, so its use in the Duster is not a surprise. Compared to TCe in Lodgy or Dokker, Duster will offer 125 hp , which is exactly 10 hp more. The four-cylinder will work with a six-speed manual, thanks to which it will consume 6 l/100 km. Whether it is a value with front- or all-wheel drive, the automaker is still keeping it a secret. Apart from the 1.2 TCe, all existing engines remain on offer. Of the gasoline units, it is a 1.6 with a power of 105 hp , which is also capable of burning LPG, and of the diesel units, the press release mentions a 1.5 dCi tuned to 90 or 110 hp . You still have the option of choosing front or all-wheel drive, with the only exception being the LPG-burning version.

The interior received a completely new center console , as well as a revised instrument panel and significantly better sound insulation. There is a new storage shelf in front of the passenger, and higher versions of the equipment can be recognized, for example, by the Media NAV multimedia system or full leather upholstery. A welcome change is the move of the electric window controls from the center panel directly to the door panels. Also important is the increase in the volume of the trunk of models with all-wheel drive, which will be equipped with an adhesive kit for wheel repair, to 428 liters (20 liters more than before). The 4×4 version with a range reserve offers 378 liters, the 4×2 version remains at 475 liters.

We already discussed the exterior changes in the first article, so I'll just remind you that the modernized Duster received a new front fascia, lights with LED daytime running lights, a rougher bumper and new roof rails with the model designation. New 16-inch Dark Metal wheels have been added to the range of alloy wheels, and the range of body lacquers has been enriched with the Comète gray shade . If you would like to differentiate your car in some way, Dacia offers the Adventure and Off-road packages. The first includes extended wheel arches and door sill protection, the second package brings side protection tubes made of chrome and a front protective frame.

The base price of the new Duster was set at 10,490 euros (approx. 270,000 CZK), which is exactly the same amount as the model before the facelift. It can therefore be assumed that even the Czech price will not change significantly.
