Alpina presented its first SUV

The German modifier (although one could say rather the manufacturer) Alpina , in its model program for a long time kept only sedans and station wagons, derived from BMW production models . Of course, these models do not end, but the first ever SUV is added to them.

The Alpina XD3 BiTurbo has its basis in the mid-size BMW X3 xDrive35d SUV. Under the hood, in serial form, there is a six-cylinder diesel with a volume equal to three liters and an output of 313 horsepower. However, Alpina played a bit and extracted 350 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque from the engine. Thanks to this, the XD3 accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253 km/h. Bad management for savers is an increase in consumption by 0.7 l/100 km.

Of course, the all-wheel drive xDrive remained from the serial form, but the eight-speed automatic has undergone several changes. In addition to technology, Alpina also focused on design, installing its own twenty-inch wheels, a new rear bumper with quad exhaust tips, or a front "lollipop". In the interior, it is primarily the new seats that distinguish the XD3 from the classic X3.

The new SUV will go on sale only as a "whole car". This means that you will not subsequently modify your X3 in this way
