The representatives of Alfa Romeo once again went for a walk, this time talking about the planned crossover. However, it is hard to say whether rock fans will believe their words when they are disappointed by the premiere of the sports model 4C . Anyway, we have some information for you about this upcoming model.
The smaller crossover will probably be built on the Dodge Dart platform. According to the latest information, the crossover from Alfa Romeo should be strongly influenced by the new generation of Jeep Liberty , which will go on sale at the end of this year. As a result, there is a possibility here whether the new Alfa Romeo model will only be a rebranded Liberty . The Italian concern Fiat did something similar with the Chrysler 300 and the new Lancia Thema.
The incoming crossover will become part of a plan to triple the car company's annual sales – more precisely to 300,000 units by 2016. In order to do this, the Italian brand will introduce a total of nine models by the aforementioned year, and Fiat will invest 1 billion Euros by 2014. Alfa Romeo plans to launch a sports car named 4C , a large sedan based on the Maserati Ghibli – the successor to the 166 (?), a Giulia sedan and station wagon, and eventually a Spider roadster developed together with Mazda .
