The Italian automotive school has always bet on one thing. And for emotions. If we look at the current portfolio of the Alfa Romeo car company , we will not find a single car that would leave us cold and it does not matter if it is the MiTo , Giulietta or the upcoming 4C . All of these cars stand out above the competition mainly due to their design, where the bodywork is not just a pile of pressed sheets, but rather a work of art. And the Spider model , which should be presented to the world sometime in 2014, will also be comfortable. So what do we know about it so far?
There isn't too much. We know, for example, that the two-seater sports car will be created in cooperation between the Fiat concern and the Japanese Mazda , thanks to which the new model will share a platform with the legendary Miata.
We also know that the drive should be taken care of by a turbocharged four-cylinder with a displacement of 1.75 liters, tuned for an output of approximately 250 horsepower. The transmission of power to the rear wheels will be handled by either a six-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic with paddles under the steering wheel. The approximate weight of the entire car, which should not exceed 1000 kilograms, is certainly not a secret either.
And as for the design itself, it could easily be based on the charming 2uettottant concept, which was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. Or will everything be completely different in the end?
