Alfa Romeo refuses to offer electronic assistants!

The management of the Italian Alfa Romeo stated that in the future the brand does not intend to offer any electronic assistants that could interfere with driving and thus deprive the driver of the feeling of connection with the car. Such an approach is completely opposite to that applied by most of the competition.

In today's age of sophisticated electronics, car manufacturers try to install as many systems as possible to monitor the safety of the car and its crew. The other side of the coin is cutting off the driver from the connection with the car and the risk of electronic failure when the driver blindly relies on it.

Alberto Cavaggioni , Alfa Romeo 's head of marketing, stated that this Italian brand would not be heading in a similar direction. In the manufacturer's DNA are cars with a focus on driving pleasure , which is not compatible with a bunch of electronic assistants. However, Cavaggioni assures that Alfa Romeo does not intend to make any compromises in the area of passive safety.

I have to say for myself that I welcome such an approach, because I simply do not trust electronics . But the question is whether the Italian brand will not be excluded from the competitive battle with this decision. People like me are few and far between and the vast majority of the competition will use this Alfa Romeo approach to drag customers into their showrooms.

However, a possible reason for this decision may also be the lack of funds for the development and production of similar electronic systems. If this is really the case, Alfa Romeo representatives naturally keep it to themselves.
