Alfa finally introduced the 4C without a roof

Alfa has been working on the open version of the very successful 4C coupe for almost a year. So it's time to drop the test camouflage, and since the United States is Alfa's core market at the moment, it's no surprise that the premiere of the 4C Spider took place in Detroit.

If the closed design of the light Italian sports car could be said to be one of the best -designed cars on the market, where would its open version be placed? The much-criticized front lights finally look normal, and if you remove the canvas or optional fixed carbon roof (the system reportedly adds only 10 kg ), it's a sight almost for the gods. For an additional fee, you can opt for the central Akrapovič exhaust with a carbon end , which was already offered by last year's concept. The production model also shares with it LED rear lights , a discreet spoiler, new air intakes on the hood and modified air intakes on the sides of the body. To give your Alfa enough to win, there are a total of seven body colors available including the new Giallo yellow paint , four brake caliper colors and wheels in 17, 18 or 19 inches. The interior is available in six combinations, including two different seat materials with a composite frame.

A turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder with a power of 240 hp and a torque of 350 Nm continues to "bubble" under the hood. Nothing has changed even on the rear driven axle through a dual-clutch automatic with the option of shifting paddles under the steering wheel. The maximum speed is 258 km/h, the small sports car accelerates to 96 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The basic equipment will include a seven-inch digital instrument panel and an Alpine sound system with USB/iPod/Bluetooth connectivity.
