Another Chinese copy of the Volkswagen model

In 2011, Volkswagen presented a very successful Bulli study , following the famous Transporter T1 from the fifties. Since then, there have been speculations about serial production every year, but it hasn't happened yet and according to the latest reports, it won't happen for at least some time. Thus, the Chinese car company YoGoMo went to satisfy potential interested parties, of course without the appropriate licensing rights.

Its Jieshun model is 340 mm shorter than the original model with a length of 3650 mm , which is also reflected in the wheelbase of 2370 mm, but the design elements must be recognized safely even by a less knowledgeable person. The Chinese clone received the same round fog lamps, discreet intake holes under the front lights, a straight roof , rear doors extending into the fenders, and completely identical shape and optics rear lights set in the identically shaped fifth door. A particularly interesting detail are the decorative wheel covers , which are again close to the original in appearance, but which received light alloy rims. The front part has been changed with a chrome grille and larger lights, the trunk lid is decorated with a handle for opening it and a decent roof spoiler. And there is one more difference between Volkswagen and YoGoMe – the German representative is a five-seater MPV, the Chinese copy is available as a five- or seven-seater MPV and a two-seater van.

The interior of the Jieshun model looks ridiculous, with huge plastic surfaces , a strange shape of the gear lever, an outdated multimedia system and a literally prehistoric four-spoke steering wheel. I wish China would take inspiration from Germany here as well… So far, there is only a liter petrol engine under the hood with an output of around 70 horsepower combined with a five-speed manual transmission, which is enough for a maximum speed of 120 km/h. However, a fully electric version with a maximum speed of 50 km/h and a range of 180 km is still in the development process.
