Introducing the Acura TLX

The production version of the TLX mid-class sedan was presented in New York , the pre-production version of which was introduced in Detroit . It will be offered with two naturally aspirated petrol engines. The basic will be a four-cylinder with a volume of 2.4 liters with an output of 208 horses. These will be transmitted to the front wheels by a dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox.

A more powerful model will get a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive . Nevertheless, it will be 25% lighter than the current model. The P-AWS (Precision All-Wheel Steer) drive system was first introduced last year in the brand's flagship sedan, the RLX . The system checks each wheel separately, thus ensuring optimal traction and good handling.

Thanks to the active electronic noise control system, the car should be much quieter for the driver. In addition, the car has a forward collision warning system, lane control system and adaptive cruise control. We could expect all the new gadgets in the new Accord in Europe, but it can be assumed that the range of engines will be expanded to include diesel versions.
