A bloated Abarth 500 by Zender

The German modifier, mainly of Italian cars, ceased its activities in 2008 and has not been seen or heard from since. Until this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, where the Zender -modified Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale concept was on display.

You can distinguish the Corsa Stradale concept from the classic Abarth 500 by the really aggressive body kit , the beauty of which is completed by 18-inch alloy wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero Black tires of size 215/35. The modification package also includes an adjustable sports suspension and an individual interior with stainless steel pedals, illuminated door sills and new sports seats.

Naturally, the biggest changes took place in the engine compartment, where the turbocharged 1.4 -liter four-cylinder will offer 240 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque after modification. These satisfactory numbers are thanks to the installation of a larger turbocharger , fuel injection with a larger fuel pressure regulator, as well as an upgrade of the control unit.

Camshafts and pistons are also modified. There is also a new stainless steel exhaust system. The Abarth 500 from Zender accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the standard version, and reaches a maximum speed of 232 km/h .
