A Porsche 911 Carrera GTS against a bunch of jumping dudes

In the eighth series of the popular motoring show Top Gear , James May faced off against a group of boys who like to climb walls, jump somersaults from roofs and can perform incredible motion creations in the air. While James had a Peugeot 207 at his disposal at the time, his opponents had to make do with only their own bodies and the ability to think about how to get from point A to B the fastest.

A certain Pascal Lemoine had a similar idea some time ago. However, the Frenchman did not pit a representative of one of the domestic brands against a group of parkourists, but a supersport from Stuttgart. And that there is really something to be afraid of! The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS of the 997 series has a naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer with a volume of 3.8 liters and an output of 300 kW under the rear hood. The particular piece is powered by the rear wheels, to which the power travels through the PDK automatic transmission. Not only these data are impressive, but also the acceleration value – the 911 Carrera GTS 997 with the Sport Chrono package reaches 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. So do the four well-rounded youngsters even have a chance?

However, if you look at the picture from a distance and not only from the point of view of a man's desire to beat absolutely everyone in his car, a piece of art opens up before you . The beautiful lines of the Stuttgart coupé and the dramatic music are contrasted with virgin nature and a view of human endeavour. In the end, the dominance of the machine here is not as strong as it might seem at first glance.
