Modified Opel Corsa ecoFlex for next year

In today's pursuit of consumption, manufacturers are trying to develop the most economical engines for their models. Opel has now announced that it is preparing a modified Corsa model for 2013 with a new 1.3 CDTI EcoFLEX engine . In the future, it should become the most economical diesel model in the entire history of the Opel company .

In order to improve the car's already impressive fuel economy figures, the engineers decided to install a modified control unit, a variable flow oil pump and a manual gearbox with longer gears and low viscosity oil. The Corsa EcoFLEX should also have reduced ground clearance and low rolling resistance tires.

Despite the changes that are coming to the car, the engine should still produce 95 hp and 190 Nm of torque. All this will allow the model to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 12.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 177 km / h. At the same time, the average consumption should not exceed 3.3 liters per 100 km, and CO 2 emissions will not exceed 88 g / km.

Mike Ableson, Vice President of Opel , stated that in just five years since the Corsa EcoFLEX has been in production, they have been able to reduce consumption and CO 2 emissions by a full 26%, while at the same time the performance of the engines has also increased by more than 26%. Last but not least, customers also appreciate a positive approach to the environment
