Volkswagen Eos is heading to automotive heaven!

Who would have thought it, but apparently the Opel car company has left a big bug in the head of the Volkswagen concern. What am I talking about? More than a month ago, Opel introduced the new luxury four-seater Cascada convertible , which replaced the older Astra Twin Top. Something similar is apparently planned by Volkswagen , as evidenced by the end of production of the Eos model.

At the ongoing exhibition in Los Angeles, for example, the Beetle Cabriolet adorns the stand of the German brand, during the presentation of which the chief designer, Klaus Bischoff , stated: "There are no plans for a successor to our Eos model." The timetable shows a four-seat convertible with a retractable roof, which will be based on the current generation Golf . The Eos with the folding hard top will disappear from the markets and to be honest I don't mind".

Volkswagen is currently considering a four-seater soft-top model. The executive himself added: “There is certainly room in our portfolio for a larger convertible, so why not make one? But the problem is that at this time all our factories are at full capacity. If we came up with a new model, it would mean finding new production lines".
