New Volkswagen CC

Although the official premiere of the Volkswagen CC facelift (the word Passat was removed from the name after the facelift) took place already in November of last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show, more detailed technical information together with photos took a long time to come. The automaker only published them these days and as compensation for the slight delay added several interesting videos. But let's take a closer look at CC.

The elegant line of the car remained, but according to the new design language of the automaker, the radiator grille with rich chrome and especially the front bi-xenon headlights with an integrated strip of LEDs for daytime running lights have changed significantly. The rear lights, which are completely made of LEDs, and last but not least the bumpers also underwent modifications.

There is a total of six power units to choose from, connected as standard to a six-speed manual transmission, where the diesels are represented by a four-cylinder two-liter in three variants. So we have a 2.0 TDI power unit with 103 and 125 kW, which is complemented by a 2.0 BlueTDI with 103 kW that meets the Euro 6 emission standard.

Petrol engines are represented by three different power units. The basic one will be a four-cylinder 1.8 TSI with an output of 118 kW, which will also be followed by a turbocharged two-liter with an output of 155 kW. The highlight of the offer will be the six-cylinder 3.6 FSI with an output of 220 kW (equal to 300 hp), which will be connected to all four wheels via a DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
