It has long been speculated whether BMW is planning a so-called modern E30 , or the 1 Series in a sedan . According to the latest information, it looks like we will see him. Even Germany's AutoBild.de created a nice illustration of the new sedan in a notchback body with a short rear overhang, which would represent a decent amount of luggage space.
The design should be based on the larger "three" series, but it should be quite different from the aforementioned inspiration in terms of appearance. The 1-series sedan will probably be called the cheapest BMW with a "backpack". Unlike the 3-Series , the new version of the "one" series will offer front-wheel drive and mainly three-cylinder engines will move under the hood, which will help the cheapest purchase price. The power range of the mentioned power units can vary between 95-150 horses .
BMW 1-Series sedan will become a direct competitor for two German representatives – Mercedes-Benz CLA or Audi A3 Sedan . The date of the premiere has not been revealed yet, but there is talk of 2016.
