The British Skoda presented the armored Superb Combi, it costs similar to the Panamera Turbo

The development of the armored Skoda Superb Combi, which was worked on by the British representative of the Mladá Boleslav car company, took three long years. It will not be the center of attention in road traffic, as the armored version does not fundamentally differ from the serial version. The main difference between the two variations will of course be protection against shots and explosions.

And how did the automaker ensure the aforementioned protection? Above all, using bulletproof glass, high-strength steel and composite materials that do not limit the interior practicality of the car. The armored Superb Combi is said to offer the same amount of space in the cabin as the regular version. Of course, the armored model had to undergo an independent test, including a test of various ammunition or exposure to explosive threats, in order to meet the requirements of PAS 300. In addition, according to Skoda, the bullet-resistant glass offers 360-degree protection.

Under the hood of the armored domestic flagship is a 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder TDI with an output of 190 hp, and in addition, the car has a modified suspension along with a better braking system and emergency lighting with a siren. Due to the increased weight of the car, the chassis and brakes had to be modified so that the car sits on the road like the regular version. As for the interior, there is an 8-inch touchscreen for a multimedia display including GPS, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The price of the armored Skoda Superb Combi starts at 118,688 pounds (about 3.44 million crowns), which is the territory of luxury sports cars, namely the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
