Volkswagen Golf VII R caught testing for the first time

Not long ago, a completely new generation of the VW Golf VII model was presented to the public. However, spy photographers in the center of Germany have now captured an almost revealed version of the new Golf R !

Apparently, this will probably not be the final form of the car. What we can definitely confirm is that, according to the first images, the new Golf VII R will look even more aggressive than it has been so far. Sports bikes, which have a very good design and could be up to 20" in size in the final version, will attract the most attention.

The Golf VII R will use the new MQB chassis platform, according to the automaker's information, which will ensure a weight saving of up to 250 kilograms. The Erko will be offered with all-wheel drive with a Haldex inter-axle clutch, while under its hood will most likely be a 2.0 TSI engine with an output of between 270-300 hp. The new Audi S3 is equipped with the same unit. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h should take around 5 seconds and the maximum speed will be limited to a mandatory 250 km/h.

Further information about the fastest Golf is not yet known. However, the German press published a statement that the new Golf VII R will be available at the end of next year. Fans of the strongest seven will have to wait a long time for the official start of sales.
