Paris 2012 – Chevrolet Trax

The Chevrolet brand welcomed the professional public at the Paris Motor Show with its new Trax model, which had its world premiere here. It is an urban SUV and the Opel Mokka or Buick Encore have the same concept. The smaller Trax will be sold in more than 140 countries around the world, with the exception of the United States and Canada, where the Buick Encore was born. Trax measures 4248 mm in length, 1776 mm in width and 1674 mm in height. After folding the rear seats, the luggage compartment offers a volume of 1370 liters (in the base 358 liters).

In the European versions, a 1.6 -liter atmospheric gasoline engine with an output of 114 hp, as well as a 1.4 Turbo with 138 hp (consumption 6.5 l/100 km) will be found under the hood. The diesel category has only one unit, namely a 1.7-liter turbocharged CDTI diesel engine with 130 horsepower, 300 Nm of torque and fuel consumption of 4.5 l/100 km. All engines will have a six-speed manual transmission as standard (the 1.6 only has a five-speed manual) and front-wheel drive. Only the 1.4 Turbo and 1.7 CDTI will be able to choose a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

In the interior, it is worth noting the folding passenger seat, the Chevrolet MyLink information system with a 7-inch color touch screen. Along with the classic version of the Trax, General Motors also introduced a model inspired by the Manchester United team as a celebration of its partnership with the famous British football team.
