While we in Europe are already eagerly awaiting the rally special GT86 CS R3 , in the United States Toyota will start rallying with the RAV4 model with two-wheel drive. The car doesn't get much modifications either – there is, of course, a protective cage in the interior, different shock absorbers and BF Goodrich tires, but otherwise it is practically a standard lightweight car that will compete with Fiesta ST and Lancer Evo . Toyota's 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces 176 horsepower. Racer Ryan Millen , who won last year's Baja 1000 with a Tundra TRD Pro , chose the RAV4 for its compact body and good handling. The first race of the 2WD-Open class starts already on June 13.
