Qoros showed the concept of a small SUV

The expansion of the Chinese-Israeli car manufacturer Qoros into the European market is still slow. For example, last year the manufacturer sold 51 cars in Slovakia, which is the only market where it currently operates on the old continent. A representative of the rapidly growing segment of small SUVs with a length of around four meters could bring better sales results.

Its prototype is the Concept 2 SUV PHEV , and it must be noted that the designers were certainly not afraid to use at least debatable elements. Above all, the front and rear vertical lights together with the gently sloping coupe-shaped roof line arouse passions. Although the roof looks quite dynamic, the rest of the body is robust, which is especially true of the boxy shaping of the front end. The panoramic roof uses the patterning of traditional Chinese windows and contains a QR code embedded in its structure , after reading which the user or car owner will be taken to the manufacturer's website. The color combination of the exterior refers to Chinese traditions – while the light blue shade of Misty Cyan looks for inspiration in Ru Kiln porcelain, used as far back as the Song Dynasty, with red details in the Cinnabar Red lacquer, Qoros pays tribute to the eponymous material from which dark red ink used in Chinese art is produced for several centuries.

You won't find the interior in the photos, but it should be characterized by simplicity and minimalism . The main elements are to be the horizontal lines and the "floating" top of the digital instrument panel . The color arrangement corresponds to the exterior, but the new color is white. The materials are completely natural, for example bamboo in combination with "cool" metallic accents. The main point of the center console is the MMH multimedia interface with a touch screen, an interesting element is also the air conditioning with individual settings for each seat. Thanks to the 2600 mm wheelbase , the Qoros 2 SUV should be the segment leader in terms of interior space. There will also be various storage spaces in the cabin itself and in the luggage compartment.

The drive of the 4181 mm long , 2030 mm wide (with rear-view mirrors) and 1553 mm high SUV is provided by a modern plug-in hybrid system. It consists of an internal combustion engine driving the front wheels and two electric motors driving the wheels of the rear axle. High-density batteries are used to supply power for the electric motors, which are integrated into the floor of the car. The battery charging system uses, among other things, an innovative system of retractable charging connector (after pressing a button), which has its origins in aviation. The driver selects driving modes with the selector on the central tunnel. In addition to purely electric driving, he can choose Sport mode, which uses front or all-wheel drive depending on the current road conditions, permanent four-wheel drive or Hybrid mode for the most efficient driving possible.
