Tata is exhibiting the Bolt Sport hatchback in Geneva

India's Tata still pays more for the exotic in Europe and its models are often looked down upon, partly justifiably. However, the effort cannot be denied to the brand, and the Bolt Sport , the first purely Indian hot hatch , can also be described as a very interesting effort.

Under the hood is the same turbocharged 1200 as in the classic version, but thanks to a larger turbocharger, a remapped control unit and a modified exhaust pipe, the power has increased to 122 hp at 5500 rpm and torque to 170 Nm between 2000-3000 rpm. Power is transmitted through a five-speed manual gearbox with modified gears and better response to the front wheels, the driver also has a choice between Eco, City and Sport driving modes. The lowered chassis received a stiffer tuning and for the first time all wheels are fitted with disc brakes !

The 17- inch wheels , sports bumpers, door sill extensions, rear spoiler and double exhaust end look very good on the red five-door body. The interior is dominated by black leather seat upholstery with contrasting red stitching, which has also found its way onto the steering wheel or gear lever cuff. The ventilation outlets have plastic red frames. Since this is the top model of the entire range, it is equipped with a pair of airbags, a Harman multimedia system with voice control, a sunroof, ABS or stability control.

Production is to start by the end of this year under the banner of the new sports sub-brand of the Tata concern.
