Nissan Sway – Foreshadowing of the future Micra?

The Nissan Micra is one of the automaker's most important models, as it has traditionally had strong sales in the small vehicle segment. But it looks like they are preparing a significant design change in Japan . At least if the new Micra is really based on the Sway concept, which is presented in Geneva .

The car is 4010 millimeters long, 1780 millimeters wide and 1389 millimeters high, the wheelbase is 2570 millimeters. These are not exactly micro dimensions, but as we can see from the Mini example, customers do not mind mismatched names. However, the main trump card of the Sway is its radical and original design. The appearance of the interior is based on the IDx concept, which the automaker presented in Tokyo in 2013.

" We believe that Sway continues the tradition of a strong position in its segment. It brings something fresh and modern in the same way that the Qashqai and Juke did ," said design director Shiro Nakamura . Let's see how much the new Micra, which is expected to be launched next year, will resemble the Sway concept. The car will be designed and developed in Europe.
