Peugeot has modernized the Partner

A week after the Citroën Berlingo , its twin from Peugeot also underwent modernization. However, unlike the double arrow, the Partner of the 2015 model year will not have its world premiere in a few days at the Palexpo in Geneva, but in the second half of March, somewhat unconventionally, in Algeria .

As with the Berlingo, almost all changes to the body are concentrated in the front. There is mainly a new bumper with built-in LED daytime running lights and fog lights. However, both are dependent on the selected level of equipment. The radiator grille now corresponds to more modern models of the brand such as the 208 or 308 and, in addition to the chrome frame, it also has a distinctive logo of the car manufacturer. The Utility Partner differs from the personal version of the Tepee by the strip in the front headlights , which also have different graphics, and the Look and Look Integral packages. On the other hand, the personal version received two new shades of gray and optional 16-inch alloy wheels with eight spokes. There is also a choice of leisure-tuned Outdoor version with silver-painted bumper segments, 15 cm increased ground clearance and a completely plastic front bumper. The latter is said to be more robust and resistant to damage.

Even after modernization, the Partner should retain a variable interior with a large number of possible seat position combinations. The personal version of the Tepee is available with five or seven separate seats, which can not only be folded down, but also removed. The luggage space thus easily jumps from the basic 675 liters to 3000 liters. The fifth door also has an integrated opening window. When it comes to glazing, it is worth mentioning the optional Zenith roof with four tinted glasses, additional storage spaces with a total volume of 94 liters (the standard model has a total of 90 liter compartments) and three extra air outlets. The utility version is available with two body lengths L1 438 cm and L2 463 cm and in several configurations including a cab with a platform and a cab with a second row of seats. The shorter version has a space of 3.3 m 3 , a useful length of 180 cm and a useful weight between 625 and 890 kg, the longer one has a space of 3.7 m 3 , a useful length of 205 cm and a useful weight of 625 to 750 kg. The width of the cargo area is 162 cm, and between the undercarriage is 123 cm, which in the case of the shorter version is enough to transport two euro pallets . For an additional fee, Peugeot offers a multifunctional Multiflex bench with three places to sit, a writing board integrated into the folding backrest of the middle seat, a folding backrest and passenger seat, an additional lockable compartment and a luggage compartment that is 400 liters larger, or 120 cm longer in usable length.

The biggest benefit of the modernization is the multimedia system with a seven-inch color touch screen, which is standard on the third equipment line and an extra charge on the second equipment line. In addition to the option to listen to the radio (digital for an extra charge), stream music or connect a phone via Bluetooth, the infotainment also offers additional touch navigation , parking camera output (if the car is equipped with one) and mirroring of a smartphone using the Mirror Screen function. There is also technology that allows you to use the voice recognition function of a smartphone to make calls, select and play music, read and write text messages. As for the appearance changes, it received a personal execution of the new Onega gray decors , the upholstery offer consists of blue Cadasca, brown-red Cascada and an unspecified shade of NeoSpa. The standard equipment of the second line included air conditioning, the Outdoor version has three separate seats in the second row and side airbags for the front seats. Interesting are the new equipment elements, when the front parking assistant was added to the rear parking sensors, there is also the Grip Control system with Snow, Terrain, Sand and ESP Off modes, ground clearance increased by 15 cm and Mud & Snow tires, cruise control with speed limiter and autonomous Active City Brake braking at city speeds if an obstacle is detected by the laser in the windshield.

The engine range of the Partner Tepee consists exclusively of sixteen VTI engines with a gasoline drive, respectively BlueHDi with a diesel engine. The petrol units have a power of 98 and 120 hp, their power is transmitted to the front wheels by a five-speed manual gearbox. It is also equipped with diesel engines with 75 and 100 hp, only the highest with 120 hp has a six-speed manual as standard. The 100-horsepower unit is equipped with a six-speed robotic ETG6 transmission with a rotary controller instead of a classic lever for an extra charge. During the next year, a three-cylinder petrol 1.2 PureTech with a capacity of 110 hp should be added to the offer. The Utility Partner is depleted of stronger gasoline within the engines, but the rest fully corresponds to the personal version. Until June of next year, 1.6 HDI units with a power of 75 or 90 hp, meeting the Euro 5 emission standard, will also be available. The specialty of the commercial version is also the purely electric Partner Electric with a power of 67 hp and a range of 170 km.
