Subaru will also offer a continuously variable automatic transmission for the diesel Forester

From the second half of March, the Subaru Forester of the 2015 model year will be available on the domestic market.

The two-liter Boxer four-cylinder diesel received new glow plugs, modified turbocharger settings, redesigned common-rail injection system, and a new radiator and oil cooler respectively. Although the power of 147 hp and torque of 350 Nm has been preserved, the SUV with a manual six-speed gearbox accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds (- 0.4 seconds), consumes 4.7 l/100 km (- 1 l/100 km) and emits 148 g CO2/km (- 2 g CO2/km). New is the Lineartronic automatic with continuously variable transmission and seven pre-set steps in manual mode, which has a combined consumption of 6.1 l/100 km, accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, and emits 158 g of CO2/km.

Across the entire model range, a modified interior with a new multimedia system will be used, the output of which is a seven-inch touch screen, which, unlike the previous one, was developed purely by Subaru. Control is by touch or voice, in addition to audio, you can also manipulate satellite navigation and air conditioning through infotainment. Using Bluetooth or the StarLink interface, the car can be paired with a smartphone.

Higher-quality plastics were used to make the cabin, the look is improved by new ventilation controls, metallic accents throughout the dashboard, and piano black paint on the center console. Better connectivity is ensured by the extra USB jack supplied as standard. In the upper part of the dashboard, there is still a multi-function display informing the driver about the temperature, the status of the all-wheel drive system, and the consumption of the car. If you have a 240-horsepower two-liter under the hood, the display also shows information about the turbocharger pressure.
