BMW will install a three-cylinder engine in the 2-series coupe

The three-cylinder fifteen-cylinder is slowly expanding across the BMW model range. After the MPV 2 Active Tourer , it will also see the 2 Coupé series . In addition to the new engine, the compact coupe will see an expansion of versions with all-wheel drive and new equipment levels.

BMW 218i , that's how the new petrol three-cylinder version of the smallest coupe of the Bavarian brand will be referred to in the price list. Power of 136 horsepower and a torque of 220 Nm is enough to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds with a manual or 8.9 seconds with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Consumption varies between 5.1 – 5.6 l/100 km, maximum speed is 212 km/h. In addition to the three-cylinder engine, the Munich automaker is also extending xDrive all-wheel drive to the diesel version of the 220d.

Four new equipment lines will also appear in the price list from next year. In addition to the standard equipment, the Advantage has a multifunctional steering wheel, cruise control, rear parking sensors, new storage areas and fog lights. The Sport Line and Luxury Line have new 17-inch wheels, a light package with a variable light spectrum, specially designed door sills, seat upholstery and a car key. The M Sport has a 10 mm lowered chassis, aerodynamic M accessories, 17-inch wheels, new door sills and a rear diffuser. In the interior, there are sports seats upholstered in a combination of fabric and Alcantara, decoration strips in the Aluminum Hexagon design with a line in Estoril blue, an M sports steering wheel, a unique design of the instrument panel, a black BMW Individual ceiling, a knee rest, an M left leg rest and the option to activate the Sport+ mode using the drive mode selector.
