Kia presented the concept of a small SUV

South Korean Kia's traditional players in the SUV segment are the large Sorento with the Sportage placed below it. However, with the growing popularity of small SUVs, Kia has also moved into this segment and presented the KX3 concept in Guangzhou , China.

Like its sister Hyundai ix25 , the production Kia KX3, produced under the Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture, will be sold only in China. This corresponds to the styling of the 4260 mm long , 1630 mm high and 1765 mm wide SUV with a distinctive chrome radiator grille, which, however, does not lack the distinguishing element of South Korean models, namely the tiger nose . Chrome also appears in the door sills and the plastic-protected front bumper, thanks to which the increased ground clearance stands out. The front lights are made of LEDs , the rear lights, on the other hand, resemble a larger Sportage.

With a wheelbase of 2590 mm, the interior offers a lot of space for passengers and an additional 400 liters for their luggage . Since the KX3 is aimed at the younger part of the Chinese population, it is very simple to connect the car to a smartphone. In serial form, in addition to the rich equipment, it should also come with a large number of accessories. Under the hood of the concept, we can find a modern turbocharged T-GDI six- cylinder petrol engine in conjunction with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive . The body is made of high-strength steel, which Kia wants to achieve a five-star rating in C-NCAP crash tests.
