Citroën presented the DS3 Racing model year 2015

Shortly after the facelift of the classic DS3 , which is characterized mainly by the main headlights in a combination of xenon and LED diodes , Citroën applied the same changes to the sporty Racing version .

The already mentioned new lights , which are still unique in the world, will cost interested parties 987 euros (approx. 27,000 crowns) and consist of three LED diode modules and one xenon module , which ensures a greater flow of light and thus greater visibility and lighting comfort at night . At the same time, this will save up to 35% of energy for low beam and up to 75% of energy for high beam. Another novelty is the rear LED diode lights with a 3D effect , or a redesigned diffuser with a double exhaust tip. There are a total of three body color combinations on offer – white with a gray roof and accessories, black with an orange roof and accessories, or black with a gold roof and accessories. The 18-inch wheels in a unique design remain the same as the predecessor.

The interior benefits from sporty anatomical seats in alcantara, respectively fake carbon decor on the steering wheel and center console. The color of the dashboard matches the color of the roof and other body details. Standard equipment includes, for example, 6 airbags, air conditioning, radio with MP3 and USB, on-board computer, rain sensor, rear parking assistant or electric mirrors. In addition to the unique lights, the MyWay navigation for 1,039 euros (approx. 28,700 crowns) is worth mentioning as extras.

Under the hood of the 3.96-meter-long hatchback, the 16-liter THP petrol engine with a power of 207 hp and a torque of 275 Nm continues to work, which, in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission , is enough for a maximum speed of 235 km/h, acceleration to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and an average consumption of 6.4 l/100 km. The sports-tuned chassis is 15 mm lower compared to the series and received 30 mm widened axles, the steering and brakes with four-piston calipers also received a sportier tuning. So far, only the three-door hatchback is on sale, which starts at 29,600 euros (approx. 819,000 crowns) in Spain.
