Renault showed a pickup concept based on the Duster SUV

We introduced the Dacia Duster in the form of a pickup quite recently, but then it was a rebuild with the support of the parent car company. At the ongoing Sao Paulo Motor Show , Renault, the owner of Dacia, got away with another interpretation of the Duster in utility form , but this time with a double cabin and only in concept form.

Still, the Duster Oroch may not be far from mass production, as a full 75% of the commercial vehicle market in South America is made up of pickups, and Renault has already announced plans to expand in this segment of the market with at least a couple of models. The design of the concept is the responsibility of Renault's design center for Latin America RDAL, and it must be noted that they did not do a bad job at all.

The white body with orange details and 18-inch wheels with 255×60 R18 tires does not look like a dozen at all. Certain off-road ambitions are indicated by a higher ground clearance , plastic protection of the wheel arches and a more robust front bumper, reminiscent of the two-year-old D-Cross concept. A bit of futurism is provided by two exterior cameras located in the rear of the cabin with a range of 80 and 140 degrees respectively, a kitesurfing holder in the rear window and a panoramic roof.

This brings us to the interior, which is dominated by the multimedia system , projecting images from the already mentioned cameras, which are controlled using a rotary control on the center console. However, more interesting are the seats with Cover Carving technology , which allows additional filling of the seats with a layer of foam, which contributes to their longer life. According to Renault, this also improves the appearance and the possibilities of individualizing the seats.
