Aston Martin Ticford Mini and ERA Mini Turbo – When the Cooper wasn't enough for you

Many people admire the classic British Mini , but it's been in production for so long that it's spawned a series of crazes. For example, an Aston Martin Ticford Mini for a very wealthy sheikh. In 1983, this unique item was worth fifty thousand livres . In contrast, its successor Ticford Metro was later sold to the public for a fifth of the price.

Another special type was the ERA Mini Turbo . The car was in production between 1989 and 1991 and is the fastest Mini variant. It was supposed to be a spiritual successor to the classic 1275 S. The engine is a supercharged A-series from Rover , and its performance rose to 94 hp after turbo doping, which gave a car with a weight of only 730 kg very decent dynamics and an incredible maximum speed of 185 km/h for a Mini. Of course, the car got a slightly modified chassis and interior, where a lot of parts from the Mini successor (that is, from the Metro type) were used. Thanks to the small number of pieces produced (only 436 in total) and the very lively character of the car, it is still highly sought after and valued today.
