For Aleš Loprais , driver of the InstaForex Loprais Team , this is a turning point. The upcoming Dakar Rally 2015 will start on a MAN TGX truck prepared by the Dutch VEKA stable. Even at the Breslau Rally in Poland in July, which he won, he started with his special Tatra Jamal Queen 69 , with which he already presented himself at this year's Dakar and won 6th place overall and 2 stage victories.
The reason for the transfer is the rejection of the Queen's participation in Dakar 2015 by technical commissioner Fabien Calvet.
Since the information about the alleged technical irregularities and the need to rebuild the entire Tatra special came 3 months before the vehicles were transported to South America, they were forced to look for other solutions. Dakar is a year-round project. Rebuilding such a truck was not possible for the team due to both time and financial reasons. In addition, the truck has a valid homologation until 2018 and is based on modified serial components, so it can participate in other marathon competitions such as Silk Way or Africa Race without any problems. We are currently discussing the possibility of Tatra's participation and the engagement of a new pilot in the aforementioned Rally Africa Race .
