The Toyota C-HR concept , indicating a new design direction for the brand, has already been talked about once. However, the Japanese automaker comes with new information and promises that the C-HR heralds a completely new, emotionally charged car .
Who will be the main competitor of the future SUV, sitting below the RAV4, is more than clear from the dimensions. Length 4350 mm , width 1850 mm, height 1500 mm and wheelbase 2640 mm predestined the C-HR to fight with Skoda Yeti et al. The basis of the car is a completely new platform with a lower center of gravity and greater rigidity, which, according to Toyota, should bring more dynamic driving characteristics. After all, Akio Toyoda himself promised that the serial form of the C-HR will offer a powerful hybrid drive (we can also find it in the concept) in combination with the agility of the sporty GT86.
The design concept is based on the diamond motif , which is visible mainly from the profile in the lower part of the cabin. The front part with LED lights carries elements of the "Under Priority" and "Keen Look" design directions, but at the same time it also brings new elements, visible only on future Toyotas. From the profile, large wheel arches with 21-inch alloy wheels stand out in contrast to the smaller glass area. At the rear, the most interesting are the structured lights, a distinctive diffuser and sharp edges practically everywhere you look.
