Honda has modernized the ninth generation Accord

Honda prepared a slight surprise for visitors to the Moscow Motor Show . At its stand, it revealed the modernized form of the ninth generation Accord sedan.

Body changes include redesigned front lights with LEDs , a new front grille and new front and rear bumpers, which also feature a pair of trapezoidal exhaust tips. In the interior, LED lighting and an electromechanical parking brake are removed.

The most important changes, however, come from under the hood. All engines have direct fuel injection and Earth Dreams technologies , the basis remained the two-liter four-cylinder with 150 horsepower. The middle 2.4-liter gasoline four-cylinder received an additional 8 horses and thus produces a total of 188 horsepower, and the top engine has also changed. This is the new three-liter six-cylinder from the Chinese version with a power of 249 horsepower, replacing the 3.5-liter six-cylinder from the American version. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the Accord, the Acura TLX also had its European premiere, which at first glance is exactly the same as the American one. The changes took place under the hood, where the base is a 2.4-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine with an output of 189 hp and a torque of 247 Nm, and the top is a 3.5-liter gasoline six-cylinder engine with an output of 278 hp and a torque of 342 Nm. While the weaker engine is equipped with an eight-speed automatic , the six-cylinder has an automatic with an extra gear, as well as the option of optional all-wheel drive.
