The Toyota AE86 called "Hachi-roku" has a special status among petrolheads. And that didn't come about just because the story of the comic and later the series (and even later the film remake) Initial D was based on it, which deals with the phenomenon of racing and drifting in Japanese mountain passes. Under the inconspicuous appearance hides a perfectly controllable driver's car with the FR concept and good technology for its time. Today, the car has a cult status, and one would not at all say that it has been racing on the roads since 1983. Under the hood is an atmospheric inline four-cylinder 1.6 Twin Cam, which has an output of 123 horsepower. However, it is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, which is the main cause of enthusiasm among car fans. The whole car weighs only 950 kg, so even a smaller engine doesn't have much to do with it. In addition, the high-speed engine will provide a great background sound for your ride. The interior, worthy of the era, does not garner much admiration today, but that is not the point of the AE86 at all.
