Ford presented the latest facelift of the Falcon XR6 and XR8

Ford is slowly withdrawing from the Australian market , but before the fateful 2016, it will still have time to show the domestic audience the significantly updated Falcon XR6 and XR8 sedans.

Anyone familiar with the brand's European and overseas portfolio cannot be surprised by the facelift . The Falcon received a front end in the style of the new Mondeo or Mustang with a hexagonal radiator grille and new headlights with integrated LEDs for daytime running lights. The rear part, which we can't see in the photos, boasts new LED headlights , as well as a spoiler integrated into the trunk lid. Compared to the XR6, the XR8 (yellow model) also boasts a different bonnet, larger wheels, a rear diffuser with quad tailpipes and black mirror caps.

Although we do not know the exact data, under the hood of the XR6 version we can expect an atmospheric six-cylinder , while the XR8 will receive a supercharged eight-cylinder from the FPV division. In addition to these, the Falcon will also be offered with a petrol EcoBoost and six-cylinder EcoLPi on LPG . The rear wheels are driven, while a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions should remain.

More information, photos and finally prices will be available before the start of sales of the modernized design, which is scheduled for the last quarter of this year .
