Is one of the biggest deals in the automotive industry coming?

The automotive world is full of surprises , and one of the biggest in recent times is said to be brewing in Germany's Volkswagen . The latter plans to take over the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles concern, allegedly mainly because of Chrysler's dealer background in the USA.

Speculation is mainly about the sale of the 30 percent stake owned by the Agnelli family . The latter is reportedly planning to get rid of other brands mainly because it wants to focus more on the sale and development of exclusive models under the Ferrari brand . In addition, Volkswagen has already eyed a piece of the FCA concern once – a few years ago it wanted to buy Alfa Romeo, but was unsuccessful.

It seems that the situation will be similar in the case of this acquisition . The Agnelli family immediately rushed out with a statement in which they stated that they had not even started a dialogue with Volkswagen. Independently of this statement, Volkswagen then issued its own, in which it mainly states the effort to focus not on problems within the concern . The main reason for the purchase is supposed to be Chrysler's dealer network in the USA , which would support the group's brands. in efforts to attract more American customers, she was very helpful.

Analyst Juergen Pieper also had his say on this topic: "Volkswagen wants to become the world's number 1 car company, and at the moment it would do anything to achieve this goal. However, the real interest in Fiat is rather unrealistic and has brought many problems."
