Nissan introduced the twelfth generation Navara pickup truck

After a series of many teasers, today Nissan presented the final look of the twelfth generation Navara pickup truck . It will offer a large number of variants depending on the market, as well as a sportier and more emotional design .

This is primarily due to the V-shaped mask , which is very typical for new Nissans, with chrome details. Boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights appear in the front headlights (maybe inspiration from the new Murano?), while the indicators have moved from the fenders to the rear-view mirrors. The range of colors will include Savannah Yellow and The Earth Bronze , which contrast with the black B-pillar to underline the sportier character of the new Navara. According to Nissan, there will be a large number of body types with single and double cabs, and its offer will depend mainly on the given market.

According to Nissan, the interior was heavily inspired by the world of SUVs , which helped it achieve a new dimension of quality in the entire pickup segment. In addition to materials and processing quality, the ergonomics and spaciousness of the cabin should also be significantly improved. The new instrument panel is dominated by a color TFT display with access to the compass, navigation, radio or consumption indicator.

A high-strength chassis with leaf springs is hidden under the body, which is said to comfortably handle the terrain and normal driving on the roads. A reduced turning radius is certainly useful in crowded streets. The range of engines so far includes two versions of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine . The weaker one has 163 hp and 403 Nm, the stronger one has 190 hp and 450 Nm. Both engines are said to have best-in-class consumption (an 11% improvement over the predecessor) and emissions, and both are also available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic and front- or all-wheel drive only.

The 4×4 drive in the new Navara is not permanent, but can be connected while driving . The VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), ABLS (Active Brake Limited Slip) and hill start and downhill assistants are also connected to the quad.
